Further Information on David Quirke.

David says: "The landscape and figure form an integral part of my work. I hopefully encapsulate a vision which is often overlooked".

The exhibition includes portraits, still lives and landscapes made both abroad and in Northern England where he has lived and worked for the past 30 years.

David Quirke's work can be found in public and private collections all over the world with commissions including five paintings for His Majesty the Sultan of Oman. He has exhibited at prestigious venues across the country including The National Portrait Gallery and London's Cork Street galleries. David has also won the Carroll Foundation Award for portraiture from the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.

Robert Hall, Curator of Huddersfield Art Gallery, is an admirer of David's work. He observes that "Through his quiet intensity of vision and immaculate, and to the non practitioner, magical technique and mastery of media he has the ability to take on any visual subject and transform it".
